I got this message last night..

Disk space usage: 110.86 M
Disk space limit: 500.00 M
Traffic: 29.41 G
Traffic limit: 9.77 G

That traffic has happened in the last 2 days since the startup vids were up.

I'm working on it, hopefully will have another host shortly.

Website is down at the moment due to massive amount of bandwidth being used. (over 30 gb in 2 days)

I have signed up with a new host and will be back up once domain is transferred over.

Please post a dyno graph if it N/A.. I'd like to see what an additional rotor does to the torque curve... What do the rotors weigh and what's the compression ratio? Mazdatrix only lists the 13B and 12A rotor weights/compression ratios.

It will be over a month or so before it sees a full power run on a dyno.

Rotor weights and compression, same as Series 6 RX-7 I believe.

20B torque curves are pretty impressive, both n/a & forced induction.

A stock 20B should have S5 T2 rotors in it. 9.0:1

Over here it's common to use Series 6 Housing & Rotors as replacements for 20Bs

I have just uploaded another video taken this afternoon

Video is taken outside of workshop, still untuned (running very rich)

www.rotary20b.com/videos/rx7-1.avi (13.3 mb)

Would people prefer me to convert them to mpg making them much smaller with a slight drop in quality?

How impressive? I plan on putting a rotary in a 4x4 pickup truck. (N/A with 9.7:1 or 10:1 compression.)

Corksport has engines; however, with all the **** they are putting me through currently I can honestly say that you are probably better off building your personal 6 rotor by custom fabbing the parts only using your hands. I've been waiting for them to quote me a price on a 12a Turbo so I can send them the money and they can send me the engine for about a month now. Everytime they tell me they will call me, they don't, then I call them and they tell me the rotary guy isn't in. Last time I talked to them, they tell me the only 12at they have in stock is taken entirely apart, and I have the choice to have it sent in pieces, put back together, or modified while it is there. I would have them port it or something, except all I want is a replacement engine with more power than my stock 12a with a massive oil leak.

Also there is a place called Rotary Shack that sells engines too.

I bought mine from an importer in Australia. I paid what worked out to be $2711.60 USD and decidied to take a risk as I was going to rebuild the engine anyway.

It was guarantee'd to turn over, that was good enough for me. On tear down all parts were in perfect condition bar the apex seals.

This one from Rotary Shack (as someone already mentioned) sounds alright
See if they have down a comp test on it, won't find cheaper than that now if it is a good engine.

"3 Rotor 20B
The price for this engine is $2,800"

My car was just "blue plated" on friday, which means it was passed by an engineer to be fully road worthy. Just need the RWC which will be done tomorrow and than wiith any luck it will be registered tomorrow.

Just an update I have put up on the site..

The car is now blue plated (engineered) and road registered. As you can see from the videos it doesn't sound like a turbo 20B, it has its own unique sound. I get a lot of people asking what's under the bonnet, from people thinking Chev V8s to one bloke saying it sounds like a F3000.

A lot of people are asking what it is like to drive. As this stage I am still running it in, but have to say it is very impressive. It is a totally different car to drive from my old 13B bridge ports. A 20B with 4.4 diff gears makes for plenty of torque. No more starting off in first gear unless it's a very steep incline, you can if you want take a corner in 4th at 40km/h and it will pull out of the corner effortlessly.
