2 Brakes questions

Are there any instructions posted anywhere on how to replace the front rotors (particulary the bearings)?

And one of my bleeder screws on the rear caliper is leaking. What's involved in replacing those? Unscrewing the old one and in with the new one? or is there some technical trick that I need to know before I start?

Thanks!

on the bleeder screw, yes just replace it with a new one. unless it's stripped then you will have to replace the caliper. the bearings can be replaced by removing the bearing cap and then you will pull the cotter pin out and the cover. after that you will need to get a pair of channel locks and loosen the nut that holds the bearings in. the bearongs can then be reomved. they are just kinda sitting on the hub and can be pulled out then by havd and the rotor can then be removed once the caliper and bracket are removed. pack the new bearings with a good grease and install the opposite of removal. remember, do not put too much torue on the nut holding the wheel bearings. make sure the rotor spins freely and that the bearing nut isn't putting too much stress on the hub, causing the rotor to drad on the hub. it would be benificial to get a repair manual, either a haynes or a FSM.

Dont forget to buy a new grease seal when you get the Bearings.

So, all I need are the inner and outer bearings and the seal for each side? (and grease of course)

What's the conventional wisdom on reusing the bearings? (I figure the seal is probably a one shot deal)

Miles and Wear. 100K on them, Replace them, $5 each $25 total, so why not do it when you do the brakes. The seal can be reused if you know how to take it out, but it is cheap so get new ones.

To get the rotor off on the front, you have to undo two bolts on th bottom of the steering knuckle. Youll figure that out soon enough.
