Aye.. these cars do stack up on ya like rabbits.. my first car was an '81 GSL, then I picked up an '83 GSL with an engine locked up tighter than Fort Knox, then it was my '84 GSL-SE (where my member name comes from), then we picked up another '81 GSL and a '79 , and now I've got my '82 S. So, in the three years I've been driving, I've owned 5 FB's and one SA... it IS a disease..

Woah, and I thought I was the only one. My 83 GSL was just like that when I got it . I had a 10 foot breaker bar and a 3/4" drive ratchet on that main pully nut and just broke the nut loose (after lots of trying that is)...it was horrible. After I had the engine half way disassembled, it fiannly broke loose, but 5 apex seals were stuck, and two side seals were completely missing . Anyway, a new engine from an 84 cured that problem

Over the past 7 years or so there have been 19 different RX-7's between me and my 2 best friends. All generations and conditions. Somehow they get traded back and forth. Some have been parted out. Others driven and others sold. 2 were race cars. Now 2 of us are down to 2 each and the other guy is down to 3. One of his is for sale though. Impressive considering we were mostly just college kids with part time jobs for much of that time. Things have changed now and there are families and kids involved. Wives aren't quite as appreciative as they were before there was a ring on the finger. Oh well I'm still keeping both of mine. I know where my priorities are! Probably why I'm the only single one out of the bunch

My second one is just a parts car too. Couldn't beat it for $20 and I transport it myself Most of the interior was missing but all glass was good except front windshield and it is an 82 GSL just like mine. Engine was missing a couple of parts and the rain had flooded the engine with water All of the drive train is still there plus everything else so $20 was worth it.
