By this time tomorrow I should be behind the wheel of green savana. I can't wait to mod her up.
On another note has anyone ever modfied the outside mirrors like the Savana?

Man, this game is the sole reason I have been planning to buy an Xbox.
So the game is ready for release then? Might be a while before we get it down here though...

Too bad, as far as I know, that the green (SA)savanna model of the Rx-7 didn't come w/all the GSL-SE options like in the game..
"I know someone who's modified their mirrors.... Oh wait... He has the savanna.
" But I'll let him chime in about it, if he wants to.

... still it looks pretty sweet ... pity you have to buy an X-box (just a P3 PC in a box ) to play it !
I've seen a "Savanah" limited edition for sale in the UK that had rotor wheels and the mirrors on the bonnet + an LSD rear ... it was an 1984 and the guy claimed it was genuine

The savannah's were earlier 1st gens (i think anyways), and only came in 4x110 bolt pattern, thus making GSL-SE rims not fittable.... or something.
I honestly have near to no clue about rx7 history, just bits and pieces gathered together.

i picked up sega gt 2002 last night.
first thing i did when i bought it was look at all the pretty cars. the models are good, but not quite as good at GT3. anyway... i went ahead and bought a honda s600 and won a few races with that. then i found a mazda cosmo 110 sport in my garage, so i souped that up to 166 horsies and saved my cash for my savannah rx-7. at this point in the game (3.5 hours play time) i've souped my FB rx-7 up to almost 200 horsies, softened up the rear suspension, and gone through two sets of tires (i got a little donut happy when i first bought the car). i haven't done a lot of looking, but the customization options are a bit less than i was expecting... and there aren't very many tracks (a mixed blessing).
for a racing game, it is excellent some very intenst moments. though it's not quite as good as GT3.

What do you mean by wrong wheels? My 84 Limited Edition came with those wheels & a sunroof, but my mirrors weren't located like in the pic. Yeah, we didn't get any model variants down here so I'm prolly not sure what you mean.

These cars came out with a sunroof & cruise control, & i'm not sure if there were any other differences between the standard model & the LE. I'm pretty sure that some of the standard models came out with a sunroof but i'm not sure about the cruise control. When I first got mine it also had a body kit which I haven't seen on the standard model. The motor was exactly the same (All 1st gens in Australia came out with the 12A. We didn't get the 13B at all). I think the only main difference was the colour or something like that.
That's about all I know about the Limited Edition
