Exclamation 1st Gen RX7 w/ Mariah Body Kit

Hey guys. I'm new the RX7 community, just got mine last night. Its a yellow first gen with a wide body. At the moment it doesnt run but the guy before me told me he streetported and put some Jap headers on it, so im excited to hear this thing start up. It also looks like it has a new exhaust with silencer tips, but it looks clean. The condition of the car is pretty poor, considering its been sitting for 5 months or so, but it still has a nice look to it. For now im gonna work on the interior. Gonna strip it all out, clean it, and buy a dash that isnt cracked. If anybody has any donations, feel free to message me. The car was only 500, but im pretty poor so anything would be appreciated. Posting pics later tonight.

Welcome!

Consider that $500 as your down payment.... but you'll get a lot of fun for your money!

I got mine for $500 too... And a "down payment" was a good way to put it. This car's going to be a lot more than $500 when I'm finished.

But soooooooo worth it. You'll have something most people won't recognize that will blow their doors off.

It's got weld racing wheels. and i talked to the guy and its raceported, not streetported so i cant wait to get this thing up to 5000rpms. me and my buds stripped the interior tonight, and we found an ant nest which we just sprayed with alot of ant killer and it worked. the dash is pretty much completely craked, so if anyone knows where to get a dash for a 1979/80 for cheap i wuld appreciate it. if anyone lives round the lancaster area of pennsylvania and knows how to work on this thing, help would be greatly appreciated. enjoy the photos. more of stripped interior tmrw and of it washd.

yeha, my friends dad has gtus, and he knows some stuff bout rotarys and rx7s so him and his son might help a lot, my main concern right now is rust, i found a few spots which i will sand or grind out but one major spot on the back right fender where the body kit goes over the car and is molded on, its crackin and has some small rust spots, i will take it to a body shop though once it runs and ask them how much for the repairs.

Your pic links are broken mate. Good find though.

You should be able to determine if it's a 79 or 80 by the VIN number.
