1st gen road racers, what wheel size do you guys use?

Trying to figure out the optimal wheel size for my GSLSE. I currently have two sets of wheels, stock 14 x 6 and 15 x 7 aftermarkets. With no power steering the 15's feel harder to steer but have more traction so the car doesn't float around as much. I'm thinking of getting 14x7 wheels with 195 profile tires. What do all you racers think out there?

Hell, if you have 7 inch wheels, you can fit wider tires on them. I get 205 60 13's on my stock rims for autocross and track use.

Better tire choices in the 15" size. I run 15 x 7 wheels with 205/50 VR15 on my 83. The extra steering stiffness is an added bonus, in my opinion. Keeps ya from overdoing it as easily.

Road racers have to stick to the rule book. In E-Prod the maximum wheel size is 15x7. Improved Touring cars run stock diameter sized wheels.

15x7 with 225-45-15 competition tires work well for me.

Remember that bigger wheels usually mean more unsprung weight, if you don't need them to clear big brakes, stay with smaller diameter and lighter rims.

Seconded. Plus there is something dead sexy about an RX-7 on really wide 13's. Every time I see DriveFast7's car in his sig I get that much more motivated to save my pennies and get a set of Diamond racing wheels in 13x8.
