LOng weekend here in Canada guys! It screwed my meeting with "Laser Guy" ya thats his new nickname.
I guess when you are rich and own your own business you can cancel appointments on Friday afternoons on long weekends if you want to.
Oh well, still going to use the company cause He actually let me come into his design office and use his laser software to make the XYZ axis I wanted for the part. I thought that was pretty nice of him.

This is starting to sound like a great item. I'll be interested when we get a price and BOM. This could end up being a 'must have' for serious 7 drivers, as the old system is so strange.

Question Some late questions

For those of us joining the program late:

Whose R&P unit is that? VW? 2nd Gen 7?

Steering ratio? # of turns lock to lock?

Thanks!

Sorry 4the delay guys! Blame it on that freak at
CP-Racing!
No really I'm just kidden (sorry Chris) anyway the delay will soon be over and kits will be ready for purchase.
I was just very suprised to see how slow an initial laser production run was. Iwas told from now on things will move along much, much faster. Chris has told me the system is working FLAWLESLY even after all the abuse it has taken. This is definately the only way to go if you own a 1st gen, hands down!! If any of you have ever driven a well setup go-kart you will be right at home in your new rack n pinion equipped 1st GEN.
Look out turn 2,3,7,8 and 10 Im gonna rip your Apex right off your track. Take that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No you need an 84 and down VW Rabbit rack. 85 is a Golf, totally different. The best thing is to get it from a wrecking yard so you get the rack, universal joint that connects to the rack, and the rabbit mounting bracket.
It is all very minor simple parts. The instruction booklet is very explicit and has pictures to guide you along.
Very simple, hey if my sister can do it aaaaaaaanyone can.

This sounds really good. I was just thinking today, if the play in my box could be fixed, this would be a lot of fun to drive fast....

Please keep us informed. It's good to see someone finding a niche and filling it.
