1st Gen Power Window Problem

Hey all,

I might have found a factory new 12a for my car that has sat as an empty shell for almost 2 years. I've been wanting an engine for a while and now it seems as though I will finally get the thing running again.

Here is a problem though. The weather is turning bad and the power windows are rolled down. The engine is pulled.

There is no power that is possibly available to the power windows and they are stuck in the down position.

What are the steps to manually winding windows up with no power to the actuators and motors.

thanks in advance, I will post pics of her tomorrow. For the record shes:

1984 Mazda RX-7 GSL
Power Windows
Power Locks
Head Light Wiper Jets
Targa Top
IMSA Air Damn (so I am told)
Stainless Steel "Targa 7" Bands on the back Pillar
Rear spoiler reminiscent of an old Porsche 944
Metalic Green Color (might be custom, original paint would have been silver)

The car looks alot different than other RX-7's that I have seen, any more information that I can get from people would be great.

Sorry about the multitude of questions, I am excitied about the chance to get an engine back in the coolest car I have ever owned. It's going to be a blast.

Just seems that it would be easy to temporarily hook up a battery or a charger and wind them up.

Otherwise you're stuck disassembling the door.

Take the door panels off and use a car battery and some wire and just apply power to each motor directly at the quick disconnect in the doors. Positive to one wire, negative to the other. If it goes the wrong way, reverse the wires and try again. I had to do this when I got my car back from being stolen and the wiring harness was destroyed and I wasnt able to hook up a battery under the hood.
