1st gen mini tubs

Here's a lil something i got done last night. Its got room for a 10" wide tire and a lot hight profile tire.

here some pictures.

one sides almost done, got some surface rust to remove, weld the tub to the body and put paint on it.

Look like a great option for those who have rusted wheel wells.

i will be making a thick piece of metal for the inside of the wheel wells and for the inside of the car i will be making a new or modify the stock support for the shock.

This is a friends car, his got 16" rims with 225/50/16. but he should be able to go with a 250-260 tire after im done and i highter profile tire. He sticking with the stock rear-end. i'm hoping he brings the car back in the winner so we can put the turbo 2 rear-end in. Thats what i was going to do in the beginning but he's getting older and he wants to drive the car this summer. He also hasn't driven the car in years.

The rx8 is a long term project of mine, i'll be building a 25.1E sfi spec chassis for it, i'll be running it in the Modified class in the nhra.

Great looking work. This is much more entertaining than watching chuckleheads mess up a car on American Hot Rod.

Since the owner wants to keep the stock rear axle for now, what are you gonna do about the springs? You cut the top perches and supports out.
