1st gen ITA oil cooling problems

I run an 83 ITA or IT3 here in Canada. Above 80 - 90F the oil temp gets to the redline (220F?). I have what looks like an FD oil cooler in front of an aftermarket aluminum rad with an electric fan. Any pics of oil cooler mounting locations, oil cooler fans etc would be great. I have also done some shouding work in that area to help with air flow.
I also thought of a heat sink/fins on the oil pan (aftermarket pan 6 liter capacity).

The only way I could get my ITA/IT7 car to cool oil properly was to run two OE coolers plumbed in parallel. So I have one GSL/SE cooler and a cooler from a pre-83 GS mounted in from of the radiator. I mounted them in stair step fashion - one lower than the other - so they both "see" clean air.

I tried getting by with only one but the car would run high oil temps. I even tried ducting one cooler in such a way that air was forced through it but this made very little change.

You will want to plumb them in parallel instead of in series to avoid pressure drop. This is what we do on all the E Production cars in KC and it works even on the hotest midwest summer days.

Non-OE coolers are not good enough unless you spend a crap ton of money on them. Used OE coolers are way better deal. The FC coolers have better bungs so I would get a couple of those.
