1st gen info

I am seriously looking at an 83 rx-7. I was just wondering if anyone could post the h.p. and torque values for this car (stock). Also was wondering what the most benificial first mods would be in your opinion. It seems that opening the exhaust and intake seems to be first so input on those would be fine I am not looking at any serious engine work yet just the bolt ons. I would like to run a nice exhaust I have a pipe bender in my shop and would prefer to make my own any feedback on the mufflers/pipe size etc would be appreciated. Also do any 2nd gen parts interchange (possibly for benefit) like the coil packs I've been reading about. All the feedback I can get will be greatly appreciated.

first mod would be exhaust. racing beat makes the best kit, from what everyone here will say. mine came with a k&n exhaust, so i wouldnt know. 3in pipe would work best to make your own from what ive seen here iirc. do the ignition and the alt swap, and theres a good one somewhere on here about the fusible links.

oh, and just for your benifit, use the forum search button for all your questions. pretty much any question you could possibly ask has already been answered here. some dudes get kinda hostile if oyu dont search first
