1st gen 1off widebody

i am currently living in okinawa japan and am doing business with a privately owned company. they told me that for the right price i can have a body kit hand made for my 1st gen in any shape, style, and form, no matter how wide or how extreme, they will even be able to fit 17''x9'' rims which will be supported by a 5 lug big brake conversion ( 13'' slotted rotors with 4 piston calipers.)i am thinking about going with a re amemiya style fd widebody with vented flares and even having an fd front end ( any style ) fitted in. the project will take 5 months and i will keep everyone up dated with pics and progress reports. in january 2005 the company (Blue Eye) had a silvia s14 featured in the import tunner magazine under the tittle "okinawa ichiban drifter." im still not sure exactly what kit to base mine off of, so if you have any suggestions please submit pics no matter what car its off of.

i know that some of you are thinking why spend the money on an old 84-se but thats what makes the difference and what makes people stand out when it comes to imports. the idea of having something that few if any one in the world has. the fd if beutiful but has been done more than enough ways, its time for an extreme sense of originality.

after the kit is made i will have access to the molds for my use. for example, if something happens such as an accident i would be able to replace the fender, bumper, or side that was damaged, but i will be the only one with access.
if enough people want a kit i will be willing to have it remade and shipped. the catch is not for money but for parts. what i mean is that i am planning on having a 20b dropped in after the kit is finished in order to have the ultimate 1st gen. so instead of paying what it cost to make it you would trade for the parts i would need for my engine swap up to the cost of the kit. depending on how much the kit costs (estimated @ no more that 5,000 us$) i would want up to the value in parts to make the engine swap work.
example: 1each person
1kit= ecu, igniton , fuel system
1kit= custom made pipping ( exhaust manifold, down pipe, motor mounts, intercooler pipes ect )
1kit= large single turbo
and so on and so forth until my engine is done and running. after that i will no longer offer my kit. after seeing his work on skyline GT-R's, silvias, failadys and much more i can only say that it is well worth it all.

pictures will be posted soon.

Well that's defiantly an interesting way to fund your project. It should be interesting to watch, but it does sound like you have thought it over for a while.

Good luck with the project. Looking forward to some picture updates.

beleive or not its actaully not as bad as it sounds. like i said, it shouldnt be no more than 5,000 us$. for a one off quality hand made kit over the period of 5 months i think that 5,000 is not bad at all.....most people blow 5,000 on stuff they cant even remember they bought after a 5 month period
