1986 13b into 1983 LE?

May be able to pick up a 13b from an '86...

How much trouble to put this into my 83 LE? If it would be easier, I also have a 85 GSL that I could put it in, but the 83 would be my choice, since it's nicer looking and in better mechanical shape (all but the blown engine...)

Let me know what you think. I may have to make a quick decision on this engine/tranny combo...

I appreciate your help!

Its not bad at all. i have already done this swap a few times with my cousin,... gslse oil pan, 12a front cover, and 13b mount brace,... good to go. If you carb the 13b, intake and header, it would move nicely.

If I carb it, I don't have to mess with the ECU (or PCM, or whatever you want to call it), right? Will the intake from a 12a work?

Yeah, gather parts is the hardest thing.... but just ask around at the next meet if you decide to do it.... you might want to get a holley, a really good clutch (act?) and headers/exhaust (fuel pump regulator and e fan also)......

Would be bad ***....
