Thanks anyway everyone. I guess it just sits and rots because no one will want it 😓

That link shows what looks like a nice comp (2009 and 25K miles) that sold for $29K, among others

Anyway, good luck!
Thanks for all of the great help here. I sold it this morning for 6K cash. I was only asking $5000 on FB Marketplace and that devolved into a bidding war between 36 people 😳 I took 6K cash, which will pay my property taxes.

But I’m crying those big crocodile tears and am day drinking. A piece of my soul is going with that car.

He has to figure out a way to get it out of the garage. It’s wedged way in the back, so this could be an all day project.

Thank you everyone for your help and support.
Deb

I think that's a pretty good price. You did well and someone will get it running!

Yeah I did ok. First guy lowballed me at 2K without even having seen it yet. It got into a bidding war last night on FB Marketplace and there has a guy standing here this morning with 6K cash. So now I can pay my property taxes 😬

Signed the title over and gave him the keys but he has to figure out how to get the car out of the garage. Crying big crocodile tears here and day drinking. A piece of my soul is going with that car. It’s going to be a long day…😓

Yeah tell me! I was lowballed at 2K and FB Marketplace just went nuts last night. I only paid $5500 for it, so with the bidding wars, I ended up with $500 more than I paid for it almost 40 years ago 😳

Thats good….my last FB was a 82 GSL and I paid $400.00…..bad interior, new crate motor from Mazda 4 years prior I bought it…. I put like 3k on it and when I decided to move back to Puerto Rico I couldn’t bring her and I sold her for 5500….. with a lot of upgrades and a lot of extra parts…..

Congrats debber07, at the end of the day you got a fair price from someone who knew what he was getting and "showed-up" willing to pay you a fair price. From what I read there were only 7,500 GSL-SE's made in 1984 and another 7,500 in the 1985 model year. It was Mazda's flagship car at the time and it's anyone's guess how many are still moving on down the roads today. However, as someone who has had a 1985 GSL-SE for thirty years I can tell you that she has stood the test of time, and I get the same smile on my face every time I get in and start her up!.
