1985 GS oil pressure sender condenser help!

hello guys, new to the forum but not to Mazdas. my oil pressure gauge on dash is not working. I noticed it does not have the condenser as per the mazda fsm. where can I get one and where does it get connected? does it also get grounder (the condenser). any help will greatly be appreciated

The body of the condenser is the ground. The condenser has a built in area that a bolt from the rear top inspection plate holds it down. The condenser will not fix the gauge hate to say. You probably need to new sensor.

The condenser is more of an inline noise filter of sorts for the gauge. The gauge will work without the condenser in place. I would check to make sure the spade connector is clean and is secured tightly to the pin on the sender. If so, the next thing to replace is the oil pressure sender itself. Its a quick job, about 10 minutes.

If you replace the sender and the gauge still does not work, the issue will lie in either the wiring to the cluster or the actual gauge itself. More than likely the cause is a bad sender, however I have seen a few gauges fail over the years.
