recently and found the leading ignitor was bad, so I picked one up on the site here and installed it, no problem..today I pulled the T2 wire off the distributor when the car was running and noticed no change..odd..? even for a novice such as myself this does not seem good..waiting for it to cool off and then I will make sure the plug isn't fouled...any ideas..?

You don't need trailing plugs to run. They contribute to between 3% and 5% of your power. They are there for emissions.

 

Pulling a trailing plug will not change the idle much. It's not like a piston. Pulling a plug wire stops 1 piston from firing. Since a rotary has 2 plugs in each chamber, pulling 1 does not stop the chamber from firing.
