1984 RX-7 Brake Question

Hey guys I have a 1984 Mazda RX-7 I want to put bigger brakes on it. I also want to make it Disc brakes in the rear.....Is there any upgrade kits out there??? Ive been to alot of good sites but nobody has what I'm looking for. Thank you guys for all your help. Jason

A little searching on this site will give the answer. There are several threads on this site about the Big Brake Kit.

You could also switch to the GSL-SE rear axles and brake components and still maintain your current axle housing. For the front you would use GSL-SE rotors, calipers, etc and maintain your current front strut tubes,.

Yeah, this isn't like a honda, theres not a lot of aftermarket bolt on support. It existed at one time to support racers back in the day. You may find a kit somewhere in the dark recessed of the internutz or have to pull parts from later years as suggested. The good news is a lot of parts interchange on 1st gens from 79 thru 85.

They are doing another run of Big Brake Adapters.

This is the most common way to upgrade to later model brakes. You can run FC 4 piston calipers with FC rear brakes etc.
