I've been looking into putting a supercharger, or a turbo into my 81 seven, and I would need to put in a new carb for either of them. but to do that I would have to order a new intake manifold and get a new carb (preferablly Holley) Which would in the end be more money than converting it to EFI. Would it be worth it, and how many people have done this succesfully? I would like to know before I make any darastic decisions.

you can buy used carb setups for a good price, or even presetup ones for a good price from rotaryshack (iotus or gregs should chime in any second now :P)

a carb setup is eaiser and cheaper than the FI setup. are you looking to go blowthrough or drawthrough? blowthrough is the better way to go in my opinion. t ay rate, like gamble302 said, ioTus, coldy13, and gregs ahve a pretty good amount of experience in this category. perhaps you could pm them....

i was looking at the racing beat site, and the whole setup was gonna cost me 770.00 U.S plus S&H. I'm Canadian, thats waaaaaaaay too much for me. Plus i would have to buy a fuel pump that delivers 6 psi @ 20 gph.
