Our 24 Hours of LeMons team has got our hands on a 1981 that has the front spindle and brake upgrade to the 1985. We would like to know if there is any kind of upgrade that could have been done to the rear brakes / axle. If no one s knows my option would be just purchase new 81 rotors and calipers and see if they match up with what we have.

the 84-85 had larger diameter spindles/axles, therefore larger bearings. so rotors from 81 won't fit the 85 suspension.

Thanks for the info but do know that the front upgrade is larger spindles and axles so my question was is there similar upgrade that may have been done to the rear.

the rear got bigger bearings too, but the pads, rotors and calipers stay the same
