1981 GSL simple lift (springs, shocks) for more height in Europe
Hello community,
I tried asking on other threads but the only answer I received was "I won't help you mess up your car".
I intend to increase the ride height as my GSL is way too low for my comfort and the roads I'm from, so the plan is to usw 15x7 wheels with meaty tires.
To prevent rubbing and get somewhat of a rally feel/look I want to lift about 2 - 5 cm.
Saldy coilovers are not an option as I won't get permission from the state so I am asking for help:
- Are bigger coils an option? If yes what kind? I don't want stiffer rides.
- What about spring spacers?
- Are stock shocks alright with longer coils or should I get a replacement? If yes which?
I am from. Europe so local would be nice for my wallet.
Kind regards

the spacers are pretty easy to slide into the springs. 4" I believe in the rear. mr gasket makes them and they are about 1" height. I have them on mine.
I'm sure you could get similar in the front but I have not had stock suspension in a while. you will want to measure. just take the 1" inch spacer and slide them into the coil spring
like this.

they are cheap to get, so I would not run out and spend 100's on them. you can probably get all 4 for 100 bucks

spring travel limiter would seem to be for lowering no?
if you have them on the 1st thing to do would be take em off?

Could you or anyone else help me with information on the stock springs?
Diameter, thickness, length, number of coils so I can get some springs from eibach that somewhat fit!
I only found info on the FC stock springs.

Call ground control. They are the ones who recommended my eibachi springs stiffness and all.
