I just recently purchased a first generation and i am having an extremely difficult time finding parts. If you could list some sites that would be great.
The car kills usually when it is idleing and idles slow (below 800RPMS)
So i bought new spark plugs and i checked the distributor cap and one of the metal pieces was bent, nearly broken off. So i replaced taht and the rotor. It is still running terrible.
I can only think of two things...
BAd gas
Carbuerator
Any help would be greatly appreciated

When it idles does it idle rough or just die like it is starving for fuel? Make sure you change the fuel filter (located back by the gas tank, in front of the rear axle with the Fuel Pump).
Does it run OK the rest of the time?
The other common problem is vacuum leaks. Do a search and you will find the common issues.

umm both hahaha yeah i'm hoping it isn't the carb that would be terrible it seems to do better at higher speeds but i've only driven it once since i got it. Another question can you get aluminum radiators for 1st generations or do you get a 2nd generation and try to make it fit ?

Yes you can get an aluminium radiator but unless you are seriously modified it is a waste of money. The early radiators were efficient, your's may just need flushing out if there is a problem. Over time they get really blocked up. I backdated my 84 with a 81 radiator when I got rid of the beehive oil cooler and it coped in 100+ degree temperatures.
yeah idk if this is a vaccum hose but on the stock blue air filter by the mouth part that sucks air in there is a white hose.... well here

The white hose draws warm air from the exhaust manifold to the air filter to assist with smooth running during warm up.
The vacuum hoses are black hoses that go to various parts of the carb and intake manifold. There must be twenty of them if there is one (It would be actually an interesting exercise to count them all - but that would be another thread!). I would guess they range from an inner diameter of 1/8" tp 3/4" or so. They are used primarily for emissions purposes, but also used to assist with the cold start cycle, for ignition timing, and for opening the secondaries on the carb.
If you don't have one already, get a Factory Service Manual or at least a Haynes manual for your car to begin the diagnosis. Again, search this forum and read. There is likely not an easy answer to your question.
