so, i was driving my 1980 rx7 down the road to get some donuts, i was making a left turn on an intersection, and some old lady hit me cuz she decided to run the red light. my car is now going to be a write off. the impound will take it away, it will be sold off to a wrecker, and i will be given money for how much its book value is worth. i live in canada.. so can someone help me get the jist of the price value so i dont get ripped off by my insurance company? and are there any parts that i could/should take out so i can privately sell to this community?

i might end up just buying another rx7 with the money i get, i loved that car, and i think i want another, maybe 1985. please make some suggestions on what to do. as soon as possible please because i have to make decisions about the car real quick. thanks guys.

 

Get the money from the insurance company and then buy it back from the wrecker for like $50 and strip that bad boy right down to its bare metal and set up shop on ebay. You'll get twice as much from it that way. Just don't let the insurance company know that you're going to do that. What was the car gsl, gs, se? Anywho just buy the car back for a fraction of the cost and sell the parts.

 

Condition of body? Condition of paint? Miles on engine? Condition of interior? W/O these, it's impossible to give you a $$$ figure...
