Thats whats called waxoyl I believe, its a rust inhibitor applied at the factory before

A good autobody place should be able to supply or recreate the look thats needed.

Guys,

Only 1 day left in the auction. Is someone REALLY gonna score on this low mileage '79 for only $5K? I was thinking the current valuation for this car is more like $7K, but hey, maybe I'm a little too optimistic!

Actually, I remember when this car was purchased by the current owner at that east coast exotic car dealer. It was the source of some chatter on here and the owner eventually came to the fourms and posted some pictures of the car on his trailer on the way home and in his garage. It still looks good. The thing is RCCAZ, there just aren't that many serious buyers out there, willing to spend 5-10K for one of these yet. Not knocking the car, but it does have its share of dings and things to be fixed, which to me, knocks the price a bit. Others might value just leaving it way it is. It is a very nice early production 79.

^^T-minus 1 hour in the auction with bidding still stuck at $5K. Looks like someone's going to get a very nice ride for a great price!
