ok...I am going to convert to a 2nd gen direct fire setup. I have a 1980 rex. Which ignitor on the fender is the leading and trailing? Also, on the Leading coil, I have two yellow and black wires running to one side. I am guessing this is positive. What's up with that?

I am also considering doing the GM HEI ignitor and wondering if anyone has done the 2nd gen setup and runs a GM HEI also?

I am also trying to wire this puppy up without really cutting the factory harness. Any suggestings on terminals that I can use to plug into the stock harness of the ignitor to run the GM HEI?

This should be an interesting mod for me...

 

I have actually used the HEI ignitors with great success. I will post pictures and the diagram once I get home.
