it's easier with qnb 81-85 style as all of the ignitors are on the distriburot and you do not have to worry about the box being bad.. i can probably get you one for a good deal.

I've bought several '81-85 distributors complete with coils from junkyards for about $40 apiece.
The remote-mounted ignitors of the '80 unit were problematic due to the long wire run from the distributor to the box.

It's not that hard but the wire diagram for a 80 will come in handy. ok you will have 5 wires comeing off the dizzy(2 red, 2 green these are signal wires for leading and traling going to the ingnitor)and a black wire that is for the condensor. Then you will have 4 wires coming out of the box(signal for the coils). then you can run a power(only on when the car is on)and ground for bolth of the coils. so you will have a total of 4 wires on each coil. I hope this helps alittle i just pulled the 80 system off my 7 for the 81 dizzy, it is way nicer to have the ingnitors on the dizzy.
