1979 rx7 hood scoop

hey, I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get a hoodscoop for my car, 1979, I have been searching for more toys for my car but no such luck, thanks

The real question is why you want one on a 79. Unless you have a top mounted intercooler they are not necessary. A hoodscoop can limit cooling flow through the radiator and increase friction drag. They are great on V8s with airfilters in the flow.

i just created a downfolded cut behind my fan to vent heat from the engine bay.

You could use a hood scoop for cold air intake. Thats ifn you have a carby. You can cut a 3" diameter hole on the side of your air cleaner assembly and route the hode up through the scoop. But than you'll have to find a way to keep the hose in place...i suggest...clotheshanger wire and duct-tape.

thanks for all the input guys, like I said I am still a newby with the rx and it is helping a ton, next question that I have is if anyone knows where I can get a 13bt or some other form of turbo engine that would drop into the 79, and how much it would cost, if any of you have any info on this please giv esome love on this.... Go to the sticky on the forum plus do a search. Try the Corksport website from the vendors sticky. Be ready to budget $5,000-7,000 if you want it done properly.
