195 or 215s?

For SE owners out there with stock rims, what size tire do you run?

Would it be best to replace the 205/60 14 SE tires with 195/60 14 or 215/60 14? I'm able to find both locally. I can't find any 215/55 which may be a better choice in 215.

Not much selection in the way of 205s... I'm concerned the 215s will be too big and rub/look doopy, and the 195s not wide enough. I'm not too up on tire or wheel sizing so any help will be valuable.

Thanks!

The only 205s I could find were really expensive so I went with the BF Goodrich 215/60/r14s.

They don't rub any more than the 205s did at extreme turns of the steering wheel and you can barely tell but they do balloon very slightly. The ride seems better and even though they are a tiny bit taller, they don't seem to affect the speedo. Straight on side view, they seem to fill up the wheel wells a bit more but that could be due to the old ones being at the end of their life.

I got them from tireack for $112. ea which was half of the cost of the 205/60/r14 Hoossiers which were $225 each.

I'm just worried that when I have to replace these, the 215s will be a rare and expensive size and I like the way the SE rims look so I don't want to have to replace them.

Great, thanks 7lives... knowing the 215s aren't an issue is good since I'm partial to the BF Goodrich w/the RWL.
