A few inches lower would do wonders to get rid of the "hot wheels" look. What width are the wheels? I plan to run 17s once I swap to an fc subframe, but I'm sure flares will be required for wide widths.

needs more low, or more tire, or both.

I'm not a huge fan of 17's on old cars like this, but the sad fact for those of us who are building monsters, is there are ZERO good tire options for wider widths in 15 and 16"

I'd love to run 15 or 16's on mine, but that one fact is why I'm going 17x10 eventually. With flares of course, which may help swallow them.

i like them but i agree it needs to be lowered about an inch in order to get the " full wheel well" look.

So true, I really like 15's and 16's as well.

Bottom line is price, I scored these on Kijiji with tires for just $300

Picked up some 205/50617's for the rear. They will give me 3/4" more sidewall. Should be just right.

My fb is lowered and I'm running 205/40/17. I'm thinking about going with 205/ 50 for the back for a better fit

Glad I got the tires changed, discovered onw was a previous run flat full of shredded rubber.

Cruises and handles just beautiful now!

It's interesting how 17s always look too big on FBs in pictures. Then you see them in person and they look just fine.
