If so what size rim and tire are you running? 205/50/16? 16x7 or 8?
Thanks

16x7s

I am putting 16x7s on my 85 SE next week. I'll let you know how it goes. I am pretty sure I am going to have to go with longer wheel studs, at least in the back. Front may be ok, but I am also using 1/4 inch spacers because of the +42 offest. I went with 205/45/16 Toyo Proxe 4's. Thats close to maintaining the original diameter in both directions(larger or smaller) 50s are .2 larger, 45s are .2 smaller diameter. Everyone I talked to said go slightly smaller rather than slightly larger.

Anyway, I'll let you know how it goes. I am hoping with the lowered (1 inch) but stiffer suspension, and the spacers I will be in good shape. I put the rears on already and could probably get by without spacers, just longer wheel studs. Pretty sure I am going to need the spacers in the front, but thats a function of the wheel offset, not tire size.

16x7 38 or 40mm fits perfect all around no mods

don't go with a 7.5" or bigger it will rub

don't use another offset cos it will rub, or look stupid sticking outside the wheel well

16x8 225/50/16 (R) 205/45/16 (F) 35 or 38mm offset (can't remember) does not stick out.

some rubbing on hard bumps in the rear.

I am running Rota N1R 16" rims with 205-40-16 Frt and 215-40-16 Rr. I can't tell you what offset they are as they were on the car when purchased. I can tell you though that they don't rub at all.

Can you post a picture of the car? Next time you remove the wheel look on the back or front of the rim for numbers.
Thanks

What offset and how wide are these rims? They look almost flush.
