16 or 20 AN for EWP?
16 or 20 AN for EWP?
I’m about to order my electric water pump setup and was wondering what would be a better size for my AN lines for the pump to the radiator. I was leaning more towards 20 because I assumed that more flow was always better, but was wondering if that wouldn’t be the case for some reason.
My setup is a half bridged 12a with some porting and machine work done to it with a 27.5x19x1.5 dual pass cross flow radiator. I’ll be drifting the car as well. If more information would help I can provide it.
Any opinions would be greatly appreciated as well.

It wont matter. An na 12a is only going to generate but so much heat. Using a 20 over a 16 with the other cooling mods you have wont make a difference..... even under drifting conditions
I've seen a lot of AN hose conversions for radiators, and they're always -16 or -20. The AN number corresponds to the ID of the hose in 16ths of an inch, so a -16 is a 1" (25mm) ID hose, and a -20 is a 1-1/4" (32mm) ID hose.
From my perspective, one of the best things about AN hoses is ease of removal / installation -- no fighting to pry hoses off of bosses.
