he did setups like that all the time... liked pushing them as hard.. the one that i remember that was running 27psi was on a rebuilt 12a, but it was rebuilt to the stock specs (stock port as well)... it lasted for a while, but i donot remember how long since he was always doing fun stuff like that

Was that non-intercooled? I know that for some odd reason 12A's can stand up to stupid high boost with decent tuning, but 14psi seemed dangerous to me. I guess I was forgetting how cold it's getting at night now, although it would still scare me.

coldy13: How much did it cost to get that carb hat fabbed up, and how much does Robert charge to boost prep a Nikki. I really wanted to do a 45DCOE blowthrough at some point, but your setup is looking pretty sexy. 10MPG !!!!! My wallet can do without that for now, maybe when I retire this car from daily duty.

Carb hat was free Like I said, dad is foreman at a large machine shop. I do have an extra carb hat, but it wouldn't fit under the hood with the manifold I'm using. If you know how much room you have to work with, I can measure this hat and see if it would work for you. Also, you would need to have a new lip machined on the carb top to fit the hat.

If you want, you can send me the measurements you need for the hat and I can get a quote from my dad how much it would be.

For how much he charges for boost prep, I think it is $50, but I'm not too sure. Just give him a call @ 818-693-1031.
