13inch Panasports on GSL-SE
I found some 13X7 Panasports, but I think they're way too small...
Anyways, I found a lot of pics of 15inch Panasports and they look badass. I know some racers have the 13inch rim, but I haven't been able to find any pics. So, does anyone have a picture of 13inch panasports on a 7? I'd appreciate it! Thanks
Also, are there any drivability problems with running a smaller wheel? I only know of lower top speed. And the GSL-SE offset is 40mm, correct?
15s look great!

Yes, 13's are small, but thats what all non -SE RX-7's run. The + style rims are 13" allong with the style on the 79-80 cars. All 13".
As for top speed, there will be no difference if you make sure the overall tire and wheel diameter is the same as stock. Circumference will then be the same, and no change in top speed.

Hey thanks for all the replies. I guess the only way to see if they fit will be to actually try them.
I tried to figure out offset and what not, and if the brakes would fit, and the seller just said to try them on. Guess we'll know how 13" Panasports look like soon enough
Thanks again. Pictures soon!

I run diamond racing 13s on mine and I have about 2mm of clearance between the front dust shields and the rim shell.

But seriously, I believe 13" Panasports should have no clearance issues.

This is an easy one to solve, Email panasport ... or Compomotive or whichever company you wish to buy your minilight knock offs from and ask them for the dimensions for a rim with the correct size and offset and then measure the car.
otherwise you will end up with a set of 13" rims that are specifically made for a car they will not fit ... can you say door stops

Did you guys forget about bolt pattern issues? The GSL-SE bolt pattern is 4x114.3. The non -SE cars are 4x110.
As for offset, 40mm seems like a lot. I think most FWD cars have about a 40-42mm offset. I would think closer to 35mm or less. Refering to a Mustang, I think they have a 28mm offset. That is a RWD car.
