13b vs 13b turbo ?????
Is a second gen 13b non turbo capable of having just as much hp as a TII if you get an aftermarket turbo and add it on?
How much hp can you get from a non turbo stock second gen engine if you do turbo it and port it??
Thanks
Joshua

As far as I know, the answer would be yes, but only if you swapped out the rotors for low compression rotors from a turbo also, in which case then you would just basically have a 13BT with an aftermarket turbo. If that makes sense.

RotorMotorDriver is right, the TII has low comp rotos and with the stock non turbo engine u would be able to run no where near as much boost as the TII would, unless u rebuilt the stock motor..
and also are the dowls in the TII stronger compaired to the stock non turbo??

Its been my experience with other cars that stock intercoolers aren't all they are cracked up to be either, so if you get a high quality aftermarket one you could potentially have more HP than a 13BT.
I'll tell you in a few months. I'm going to rebuild a 13B, port it, use TII rotors, TII rotorhousings (easier porting), and TII turbo for a start (might use other turbo later).

What about if i rebuilt the non turbo engine? What is the difference between low com rotors and regular ones is the pocket bigger or what?
Also what is the cheapest good quality rebuild kit you can find for my second gen 13b that i plan on turbo charging..
thanks

maybe you should go talk to some of the second gen guys with the hooked up t2's
plus, why would you go through all that trouble of rebuilding an n/a when in the end, you will have a t2 motor. it would be alot cheaper/easier to just got with a t2 motor in my opinion
