13B Twin Turbo JDM on eBay, in Ohio
I would have to agree with suparslinc. When buying an engine for my 87 Corolla i was offered a lot of engines including supercharged for magically 750 dollars with tranny. At the end of the day though i need to hear the engine, see it, feel it to know if it is what i want. If ur spending that much money on ANYTHING, you better make sure it works.

buyin japspec you wont hear it run. wonder if mike or df heard their motors run
i like how they said it comes with flywheel, even though they only came in automatic. i guess the flexplate may be good for discuss or something?
i read about everyone swapping to tII trannys, why not fd trannys? i know the fd autos are pooter controlled are the 5 speeds also? one more question, would the speedo sender from the fd work on an older tranny so i could run an aftermarket speedo, or is there another way. just curious

j-spec motors are usally good running motors, as i have bought and installed hundreds with less than a handfull of bad ones! thats a pretty good record. they usally use turbo 2 trannys because they are ;1 easier to get, 2 usally cheaper to buy, 3 and they use a tranny mount , unlike the fd models so they can be put into a variety of different applications.as for the speedo, they are usally not accurate when you do a turbo , or miata swap......but if you go to your local highway patrol they will calibrate your speedo free of charge!
