The 13b Twin Turbo...

What should I expect to find and how much should I expect to pay should I decide to upgrade to a 13b twin turbo. I found a couple on ebay, one with a paired tranny and one without. Let me know what you think. Also feel free to take up these auctions, I haven't decided to upgrade yet.

With tranny (New York)

Without tranny (Texas)

I thought you were a struggling student and couldn't even afford a replacement tranny?

If you're going that route, pick up the one w/o the tranny and source a good TII tranny set up. It will make the install easier and many of the 3rd gen guys are finding the TII tranny holds up better over time with hp mods.

Also plan on a rebuild just in case and I personally would toss the ecu and go standalone. The standalone can eliminate, along with other mods, many of the longevity issues the twin turbo engines seem to have. If you don't want to fuss with setting up a standalone, look into adding the PowerFC and adding a Datalogit to that.

My transmission is working well after that factory tune-up....no blips or clips....and I recently took on a new commision sales job, allowing me to rake in about 1700 a month.

Thanks for the contributions trochoid. I'll take them into account once I seriously start looking at engines.

I too agree with Trochoid. The TII tranny is what you want with this swap. It has been covered many times, so there is plenty of info, and it is relatively easy to do.
