Search and research a lot on the TII swap....and if you want somebody to do it....best thing to do would be to go around to the shops in your area and see if anybody can do it cheap.

1000 dollars is pretty low. Ive been researching this for awhile and most of the guys that have done it have been at least 3000 depending on what all you do.

Couple good threads in the archives to look at 1st and 3rd pages i think. Called t2 swap in gslse.

You'd need:
engne
tranny
wiring skills or pay someone to wire (which will chew up your 1000 right there)
Good tires,
better brakes,
potentially better suspension.
Tuning which is not cheap.
Exhaust, probably largely custom.
Custom driveshaft (which will be about 300 just to name a few)
GSLSE Front cover, crossmember, engine mount
Tranny modification

Thats assuming you are running the stock ecu and not an aftermarket. Aftermarket will add 800 to your price

Realistically if you are paying someone else to do it OR doing it yourself. 1000$ is an impossible budget unless you have access to all of the above parts at no cost.

Do some research and then decide whether or not you still wanna go through with it.

Also, you say you "found" a t2 and tranny. Can you verify the engine and turbo and everything is good and works or will it need a rebuild or what. All these things add up hours and moneys.

Try to find out where the oil is leaking, you should be able to fix it. Does the car run good? If it does, the oil leak is probably something minor.

Like your oil pan, omp, or oil lines (had leaks there on my 7). Do a good engine bay clean and source the problem. If it runs fine you can always get new gaskets for watever is leaking.

Will probably be cheaper than a rebuild or TII.

However if it is leaking near the MAZDA 12A Stamp on the housings, that sucks. Search dowel pin leak

i dont think you need all that. deff not trany. i was going to get a 13b from a 89 rx7 and i was told all i need was gsl-se front motor cover, gsl-se front motor mount and Gsl-se oil pan. the reason you dont need a trany is because 13B's can bolt right up to the 12a trany. so if you have a 13B trany you can do a rebuild on it. (i wanna take a 13B trany and put it on my 12A next year)

K sorry, a TII tranny is not needed but largely recommened. Sot hats one thing you dont need

you DEFINTIELY need custom exhaust, you cant have a turbo with a tiny exhaust all the way back, or i guess you could it will just suck.

Everyone who has done the TII swap and chronicled it has had a custom driveshaft. So sure, they bolt right up but it would appear some modifications are needed. Like the shifter.

You need some form of first gen mount with at least RB's 13B engine into 12A (100 bucks) or the entire se crossmember

Again, chances are it will need tuning is also expensive.

So that list is extremely basic. If you look at the guys doing them in the archives, their lists are FAR more inclusive.

So you dont need ALL of that but its going to be more than a thousand, no question. UNLESS you are very good at auto wiring/work and already have all the necessary parts and recommended upgrade.
