When you use the SE front cover the 2nd gen CAS will drop right into place.

it does not have to be the se front cover it can be a 12a front cover but i wouldnt do the swap unless you have lots of time to work on it and another form of transportation

Yes, a 12a front cover will work as well.

Driveshaft will be custom.

Go with a T2 trans. Cheaper, pretty darn strong, correct clutch setup, and you can modify the shifter length. There are a couple people running the FD trans but for the most part they are using a custom cradle for the motor. I had a FD trans and opted for the T2 trans.

Also some people feel that there is no need to modify the shifter length. Personally if you are going to take this much time with a swap why not just go through the little bit of extra work and get the shifter in the stock location. To each his own I guess.

thats good that you have lots of time. i had to get mine drive able as soon as i could no other way to get to work. the only reason i say you have to have time though is that if you dont you might end up with a really big paper weight for a few months if you dont have everything you need when you need it

thats true, anyways is there any advantages using the TII engine over the REW?
I just see alot of fb's with this engine as well and curious about it.

Cheaper. Easier swap. With the turbo II things drop in a little easier.

Its pretty easy, 12A front cover, 13b SE oil pan, and a S-5 T2 tranny is easier to make mounts for. I grafted the S-5 cradle into the S-3 crossmember, works pretty well. I not running a REW, but I am running a FD power FC and I just swapped in a FD UIM and TB, so I do have some knowledge of the swap, plus I have been helping Z beater with his swap. Good Times.
