13B into 81 rx7 wiring questions (ALMOST DONE!)
Hey everyone, I'm just about done with my conversion. Anyways, this is my first engine swap with a fuel injected engines and am kinda intimidated by all of the wires, any pointers I should keep in mind when I start hooking things up?
Thanks,
Jesse

Where did the FI 13B come from? I'm currently helping a friend do the same, and yes, there are a ton of wires if using the stock ECU, we are using an 86 motor and ECU.
best bet is a Workshop manual and time. hehe

Someone in the auto parts section of our local newspaper was parting out their GSL-SE. They guy got rear ended and I got the whole setup for $200! It runs great too. I ordered the manual, it should arrive in a few days. I got the engine bolted in but it still looks like alot of work. I had a horrible time getting the sub frame switched over, but I did it. Tell me how your project goes.

It will be a bit easier since you won't have to worry about ignition conversion. Why did you have to swap the whole subframe? Why not just mod the engine mount.
here is a look at what we are doing http://my7.rx-7.org/Paul

The subframe on the '81 was too short, and the new engine is something like 10mm longer, so it had to be swapped, or I had to buy a new plate, this way was just cheaper. Tell me how your project goes.
