13b INTO 12A chassis engine mount mod

I called Mazdee's in Ontario, and they told me i don't need the 13B to 12A chassis front engine mount, and i could just modify my 12A mount, he told me to bend something, can someone could explain me clearly what i have to do to fit the 13B in it ?

Thanks

Max

if you want to bend the mount, you can, but I would highly recommend against that. Get a GSL-SE engine mount... and while you're at it, y ou'll need the oil pan.

I can't believe a (reputable??) place would tell you to bend the engine mount!!!

Actually, you don't bend the mount, you just slot the hole to make it fit the 12a.

i tried that cause i lost my gls-se mount, do not bend the mount. but the racing beat mount, or a GLS-SE mount. if you bend it, it wont fit rite.

Physically installing the engine is the easy part, you can spend $80ish for a special motor mount plate from Mazdatrix/Racing Beat or you can modify your old one. Essentially, the 13B is 20mm longer and so the front of the engine needs to sit 20mm further forwards, so you need to do some creative ovalling of holes. After you get that squared away it falls right in.
I have no experience doing it, but I've heard it works great from many people.
