13B engine to replace 12A in FB

I have an FB (euro specs) version with a 12A engine. Would like to swap it with a 13B injection (maybe also with turbo). Somebody already dit this ?
What do I need to fit the engine on the original engine mounting places of the FB chassis ?

Does the transmission of the 12A still fit on the 13B ?
What is the torque the 12A transmission and differential can handle ?

A lot of questions but somebody must have already done this, I guess.

the engine to tranny mounting is the same on both engines. u'll need to rework the front engine mount to accept the 13b, since once bolted to the tranny, it'll sit .75 in farther forward. or u could just buy one from racingbeat.com or mazdatrix.com. as for injection, u'd need the ecu and complete engine harness from the donor car the engine came form or use a standalone ecu. hope u gots money.

1 Somebody already dit this ? Yes, there is several good write-ups on this forum. Just go to the search menu ay the top of the page and type in the subject.
2. What do I need to fit the engine on the original engine mounting places of the FB chassis ? This is explained in the last response.
3.Does the transmission of the 12A still fit on the 13B ? Yes.
4.What is the torque the 12A transmission and differential can handle ? There are no problems going to 250Kw but I suggest thinking about a stronger clutch if you are going to use a lot of rapid accelerations.

In simple terms, get yourself a 13BT engine, and upgrade the fuel system to cope with efi. There is much stored information on what you need to do as several hundred people have moved up to a 13BT engine.

Search under 13BT or TII; click on search, go advanced to keep to the 1 gen forum. Once you have read it all up, you can always ask a specific question. I also suggest you post on the European forum listed further down the main menu as there may be some one local who has already done this. There used to be several members living in Belgium as many years ago there was a very active importer.

Good luck.

I am in the midst of doing this now, and you will need a GSL-SE oil pan and oil pickup, or modify the pan you have if you are a good fabricator.

I also have an FB with a Ford V8, and the differential handles the torque from that engine with no problem.
