Exclamation 13B 4 port? What do you make of this engine?

Hey folks... had this pic of a 13B sent to me.... can you figure out what's been done or its vintage? Looks like a 4 port to me, and a Holley on top... anything else worth noting?

going by the mazda script on the rotor housings it's a late model 13b making it a 6 port. if it actually is a 4 port, it was put together using t2 intermediate housings and n/a rotors. get a pic of the intake.

the egr cover plate on the center iron makes it an s4 NA center. look like s5 rotor housings? is that something screwed in above the spark plugs?

turbo type rotor housings that is the bung for the knock sensor that you are seeing above the spark plug...... This looks like it could have been one of the Marine Motors that got imported a bunch of years back. Essentially there was a company that imported a container load of NEW engines for use in Marine applications. the base engine was a 4 port turbo block with a GSL-SE (actually turbo 12a) type front cover. they had NA rotors and all came with a NEW distributor, alternator and water pump.

without more information that is the best I can do.

Somehow the pic looks vaguely familiar... didn't someone post a bunch of pix from a Mazda museum in Europe some months back?

For some reason, this pic makes me think of that post.

if point A to point B is not a straight line, the bugeye is like the fastest thing on the planet.

And likely even more so with a 13B in it!
