13b 4 port to 12a?

How much different is the mount for a 13b 4 port intake from a 12a? Could one be modified to fit a 12a? From the look of it (Idon't have one of each to compare) the ports on a 12a are taller, but they look very similar. I've got a 12a, and can only find the manifdolds I like in a 13b 4 port. Any way to get there? Without swapping motors! LOL

If it's symmetrical, maybe you can just flip it, ey?

I wonder what it would cost to have one made? It looks like it would be pretty easy for someone with a cnc or waterjet. Anyone here do that kinda thing?

I looked, thiers go from 13b 6 port to 4 port and from 12a to 13bt also 13bt to 4 port. basically everything EXCEPT for 13b 4 port to 12a.

Funny thing is I thought this would be a common thing, it would sure open up options for 12a guys. Wish I had the equipment to cut some myself.

Mel, how thick is your adapter? I may need to make one to go from an old school 4-port 13B intake to an S4 TII keg. With hole saw bits, carbide burs and a drill press one shouldn't be that hard to make.

I will let you know this weekend Prof T. I have another 12-A to 6port manifold, this is about 1" thick. I've asked Tulsa @ RX-3club.net if he can make one for TII to old 4port as I need the same. If you or Michael can make it, I need one for my TII street legal conversion. All you need is the plate, old 4port intake gasket and TII gasket for the outer. Im a nub when it comes to fabrication/machine work

I'd be happy to make one but since I'm now stuck in this little apartment and my tools are scattered around in storage places, the only thing I get to wok on now days is trimming my beard.

Any small machine shop could make you one. I know a guy online that might would make them would just have to ask him.

You might ask Billy at respeed bet he could or knows someone.

I also have a 12a to 13b 4port, got it with a car, no clue where he got it years ago.

from fabbing my intake, thickness has to be enough to accomidate the bolt heads, but other than that really isnt important, there is a TON of space to the side

An rx4 intake will let you mount a Nikki on a old school 4-port 13b. The rx4 Hitachi has wider bolt spacing but the same bore spacing. Drilling and tapping 4 new mount stud holes lets you use standard nikkis or hitachis. I have been using a modded nikki mounted to a rx4 intake to fuel 4-port 13b for abotu 30k miles.

How much wider IS a 13b 4 port than a 12a? I was under the impression they were fairly close in size/width.

I looked at thier price list, (twice) but couldn't find it. LOL If the adapter is too wide, as Mel was pointing out, I may have to figure out something else. Or just stick to tried and true. I was just hoping to "take a walk on the wild side" with this one. LOL
