I have a S5 N/A FB, its pretty damn fast but I'm not running a freaking 10.25 quarter. LOL.

The only N/A RX-7 running a 10 second quarter, (all motor) was Jesus Paldala (SP?). But that was with a peripheral ported N/A 20b motor. I dont see a S5 N/A ever being able to keep up with that beast.

Oh and for the record, you need to use a 12a front cover (or a GSL-SE one) and a GSL-SE oil pan. You do NOT have to drill hols in the oil pan to get it to line up. Once you put a 12a front cover the GSL-SE will bolt up perfectly.

Anyway Cory Simpson, you have a PM.

I have a 2nd gen engine with the GSL-SE front cover/oil pan, but it's carbed!!! I like it. It's way faster than any 12a I've ever driven. It's even faster than quite a few GSL-SE's... I'm thinking IoTus's car will whomp on my when we're done with it. (he did the TII swap...) Any questions on his setup? We did that in my garage.

I'd recommend a TII swap over N/A. If you're going to go through all that trouble, why not go turbo??!!

I know mazda EFI is crap. Blow throughs are a bitch and I definatly wouldn't swap in a TII ECU. So there is a very simple answer.....bite the bullet and get a HALTECH. If you are decent with computers, patient, and love to have total control of your cars performance....then it is the best solution.

Good luck

yo me and my friend depated last night that a 2nd gen motor wouldnt fit into an fb..he also claimed that it would throw the weight distrubution way off. well i called that bs since i would think the fc motor is only slightly bigger(i think??) and fb,fc,fd's are front mid engine cars, correct me if im wrong. but a motor almost the same (12 vs 13bt) would f8ck up the weight distrubtion..wtf?

Talk to Paul Aber, he's on this forum and has a '86 13b in his 1st gen, so he should know what it takes to put it in there.
