well, i got a couple friends over today and we messed with literally everything. fuel pressure rises when supposed to, timing is good, retarded as possible, new tII plugs, all plugs are firing, it is spooling and starts to make boost but the carb will not accept it. carl you have been sent a pm. i am getting a boost prepped carb that i know i can slap on with no problems. i thought i was ready to mess with the trial and error of this carb but after all the hassle it's caused me and all the detonating i've gone thru and trying so hard not to believe it was the carb i just gotta make it easy on myself. i've spoken with a couple people that boost prep carbs and they all said theirs did what mine is doing when they couldn't get it to work right. it would have been such a beast. i am going with someone who's done this a million times and has already made gobs of horsepower with the exact setup he will be sending me.
