12A Street Port with Weber 45DCOE Ignition Problem?

Car was running good. Parked for three weeks without starting car. Now it won't start. Checked for spark on trailing is okay. no spark on leading, switch leading ignitor into trailing slot, it got spark.... Switch known good ignitor into leading slot NO SPARK...!!!

I am running the msd box with a gutted ignitor on the leading but went back to original setup with a good ignitor to troubleshoot but still no spark on leading coils...

Coils are MSD blaster brand new... what could be causing this problem.

I relocated the alternator to the side but this should not be the problem.

Any sugestions.... thanks

maybe check to see if you have 12V at the terminal for the leading coil with the ignition ON.

check contacts and for broken wires in the harness itself.

Checked voltage at the coils. I have 12. X volts on both coils and on both terminals the + and the - side of the coils with ignition switch on.

I checked the voltage down to the ignitor contacts and have 12.x volts on both ignitors leading and trailing.

But still only spark on the trailing plugs. any ideas... won't even try to start....

also might want to check your cap and rotor for damages. check the coils; try swapping the L and T plug wires for the coils also.

check each plug wire for spark. if no sparky, check voltage on coil's + terminal.

I checked all wires for spark. I only get spark when I connect the wires to the trailing ingition. I transpose the wires and get good spark from the trailing. I swaped coils and get spark from the coil from the trailing side...

So it looks like both coils will fire the trailing side... Just out of curiosity ( How many wires should be connected to the leading coil. I have a big black/white on the positive and a yellow/green thin wire to the negative...

Am I missing something there?

I am using the MSD Blaster coils for both leading and trailing. What's the voltage/ ohms shoud be.. I am getting 12.x on the - and on the + with ignition on.. the ohms won't stay put keep on changing...

I have a feeling that your motor is flooded/no gas coz even with trailing alone, the motor should start. also, re-check your MSD 6A/AL wiring if you have no spark in leading.

I completly removed the msd box. I went back to Mazda stock ignition setup... so I am running it through the distributor both leading and trailing. It sounds weird because before if my msd will fail it would start with the trailing. I have been changing plug to brand new ones and also cycling the engine by hand with the plugs out to get any fueld that may be in the chambers.

I don't even get a trying to start at all... I will take the plugs out again, cycle the engine without the plugs by hand and let it sit for a bit... this used to work before, but I'm not getting any starting tries .....
