Hi all, I picked up a 2-owner '84 GSL with 92k miles back in October last year and I've been trying to fix a coolant leak it's been showing from the intake manifold gasket (o rings). It came with the original '84 workshop manual and I've been following its process for removing the intake manifold along with these very helpful forums, but I've ran into a snag trying to remove the last upper right intake manifold bolt and the last air pump bolt.
The '84 workshop manual says to remove the air pump first, and then remove the intake manifold with the carb attached.
I've just been having a tough time getting to the last air pump bolt (pictured) and removing the hose from the air pump (pictured). Is there an easy way to get a 12mm wrench or 12mm ratchet on the last air pump bolt? It's a pretty tight area. Never mind I just had to wiggle the air pump up and down to finally remove it after removing the stuck long bolt all the way.
Thanks for any advice in advance! I also drained the coolant before starting this process per forum suggestion.
Hmm looking at some more pictures of a removed air pump and it looks like I don't need to remove the last air pump bolt (pictured) as it doesn't hold the air pump in. Stand by.
Edit: I got the air pump out, it just needed to be wiggled out. I think I've got it from here!
