The screws are hard to get out, usually strip, then you will need to drill them out. If you do manage to get them out, and drop down the intake, good luck. Might be a good time to remove the intake and replace the gasket and o-rings anyway, it's easier in the long run to remove it.

well. the carb got a rebuild and the plate under the carb, the thing with all the vacuume ports on it, well it got farked up.

secondly.

so after a junkyard trip i picked up 2 seats, a carb and the plate under the carb.

got the new plate under and its stopped my vacuume leak, still tones of parts missing off the carb. lol.

ok so, when i hook up the vacuume advance on the disy. it goes to a really high idle. like 3k rpm.

any ideas why it might do this?

well set the idle mixture and idle speed, it runs much better now. still a fiew problems.

1) slight missfire when idling. but if you rev it a bit, then let it come back to idle it seems to idle fine for 10 seconds or so.

2) if you step on the gas( in neutural) the motor bogs, you have to fether the throttle up to about 1500 rpm then you can rev it.

3) if i connect the vacuume advance on the disty it no longer runs at a higher rpm, but just runs plain like crap, missfires and donesnt run properly.

any sujestions on any of these problems?
