12a with full choke sound like bridgy?

Just wondering if anyone knows the reason why my old 12a idled like a bridgeport when it was warming up with full choke on. Freaking love that sound lol. I wish my FC did that :P

A little bit of extra fuel causes it to load up and lope like that. Most stockport motors will do it if you idle them rich enough.

My stockport 12A with Sterling would do that when I left the jets I used for autocrossing in the primaries. A Canadian customs agent even mentioned it sounded like I was running rich.
