12A air intake
recently i got a K&N filter for the 7 which made it noticeably more peppy. I still have the stock air lid tho... i would like to use the full potential of the K&N so whats the best aftermarket intake i can get for my 12A. The one from racing beat is quite nice but expensive. The bonez intake on rx7.com will look ugly.
i really want to have a chrome top air lid like the muscle cars at the shows do haha. Do you guys know any company that provides air lids that will fit our stock filters?

if you want more power, go CAI, route the intake out in front of the rad, works quite nicely., for looks...i forget the link, but someone was selling polished/ machined alluminum tops that looked really good, or could just get the stock air box chromed.

http://www.iscracing.net/air_fuel.htm has the lid you're looking for, but it's pricey (though it comes with the K&N and you can't opt-out of it 'cause I think it's a slightly different size). And it comes as just metal, if you want chrome or powder coat you have to do it yourself.
I bought one and got Rx7Carl to powdercoat it for me. I don't have it back yet.
Other than that, I had the bonez, it looks *alright*, but does the job, and for much cheaper.
And then there's the racingbeat lid, which I don't particularly like the look of, but it looks less ghetto than the bonez.

Honestly though I didn't find a noticable difference between K&N and non-K&N in terms of performance. I don't even usually list it when people ask me what mods are done to the car, because I consider it more of a conveniance thing (washable) than a performance thing. The intake box itself has more effect on airflow, which is why I bought the iscracing box. It's funneled to allow for better air flow, and there's no restriction for the air to go around or through before it hits the filter.
Civic kids consider K&N a "mod". I don't tend to. But at least we share the same taste in airboxes

Do you have any advice on the RB intake it is supposed to be real good i may just get that. My goal isnt neccisarily getting more HP its throttle response whatever makes the car alive.

No, the RB fits on the Nikki no problemo. Lots of stock carb guys are runnin' one. They look alright, they sound awesome, and any replacement for the stock airbox is an improvement. I appreciate it just for the way they make the intake look so much neater than stock.
You aren't ever going to feel much difference from just a filter and airbox change. If you want throttle response, start making serious mods, like upgrading the ignition (I suggest FC coil with TT box, and then re-do your timing) or having the carb rebuilt for performance (Rx7Carl/Sterling style).
