12A or 13B

what would you guys think would be better to turbo 12A or 13B? and why?

A 13B. It is easier to achieve higher amounts of streetable horsepower and torque with a boosted 13B.

Well, i guess if you had your pick to turbo either the 12a or 13b na engines, I would pick the 13b, just because of the larger displacement. the compression ratio is the same for both the 12a's and 13b's found in rx7's, so that isnt really an issue. Lastly, If you REALLY want a turbo first gen, swap in the turbo second gen motor. would probably be easier/cheaper, and Is well documented

Yeah, the TII swap is documented even in a sticky at the top of the forum
Check it out!

I, personally, would turbo my 12a... but that's only because I'm a poor college student, who already has the 12a.. If I did it, I'd want to do it properly, so adding the extra money that it takes to buy another engine would put me way into the red
